2012 Rox Middle School Challenge Tournament
Tejas Volleyball is excited to announce the 1st Annual Rox Middle School Challenge Volleyball Tournament. This tournament will get players, teams, and schools a head start on their middle school season by participating in a fun-filled volleyball tournament that will guarantee each team a minimum of 14 games over a 3-day period. The tournament format will be 2 days of pool play (Monday and Tuesday) followed by a final day of bracket play (Wednesday) to determine the best middle school team! Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd Place in each division. An All-Tournament team will also be selected to honor the top athletes in each division. The start times on each day of the tournament will be based on the number of teams that we have in the tournament and the way you finish each day of the tournament. Last year we had a total of 26 teams play in the tournament and hope to make it bigger this year. Until everyone registers, we will not be able to tell you if you will play in the morning or evening.
Dates: August 13-15
Divisions: 7th grade and 8th grade
Entry Fee: $400 per team
Format:
August 13 - pool play (6 games)
August 14 - pool play (6 games)
August 15 - bracket play (single elimination)
Other: Every team will play a minimum of 14 games. Referees will be provided. Teams must consist of a minimum of 8 players. It is highly recommended that each team have a coach or parent rep at the event. Teams will provide line judges when it is their turn to ref.
